The Opera 240 IP integrates all communication needs of small enterprises for up to 20 users via a compact IP-platform, which can be configured with SIP- and ISDN trunks alike and makes available integrated voicemail, automatic voice recognition, FMC, a versatile Unified Communications-portal and other user- friendly applications for its internal subscribers. The highly scalable IP-system architecture with complete implementation of conventional technology (ISDN-trunks, UpN- and FXS-extensions) as well as the considerable degree of virtualized services through the compact processor platform require no functional media- gateways / codec-converter, thus enabling the integration of numerous applications without additional hardware for a beneficial price-performance ratio and guaranteeing a long-term investment protection..
Modular System

The capacity of the 19"-frame is assigned for up to 240 users, of which 8 physical analogue extensions are already inbuilt. Moreover, the system can incorporate up to 60 external lines.

Expansion Cards:

The basic system provides three slots that can be alternatively plugged with the following expansion modules:

  • S2M (PRA)-card for 30 ISDN-channels (up to 2 pluggable)
  • 4 S0 (BRA)-card for 8 ISDN-channels (up to 3 pluggable)
  • UpN-card for 8 system extensions (up to 3 pluggable)
  • a/b (FXS)-card for 8 analogue extensions (up to 3 pluggable)
System-Expansion Frame:

For enhancing the system capacity with UpN- and a/b-(FXS)-extensions, up to 9 further system expansion frames can be connected with another via LAN.

System Telephones
The two desktop IP-system telephones Operafone Executive und Operafone Professional provide a blue-illuminated 4-row displays and a context-intuitive user guidance. The Operafone Executive can be enhanced through a DSSS-module for adding 48 function keys and with a customary headset. The system telephones can be connected to the PBX within the company LAN or from remote sites via a broadband Internet-connection. Customary 2-wire extensions allow also the use of the UpN-system telephones Operafone Executive (identical build and functionality as the IP-version) and Operafone Standard (blue-illuminated 1-row display).
Interactive Caller Guidance (Auto-Attendant)
Up to 100 different announcements and menus can be played to a caller, in response to called numbers, the time, the selected language or other options. The caller then decides through his digit entries where he wants to be put through to.
Browser-based User-Portal
A flexible and easily handable administration user-interface for two-way updating between personal address book and Outlook or Gmail as well as handling the voicebox and general telephone settings.
Fixed Mobile Convergence - FMC
A user can secure his reachability via a single telephone number as well as a centralized mailbox to his IP-system telephone, Windows PC-Softphone or mobile telephone. Any WiFi-/ 3G- and SIP-compatible mobile device can be used as extension to the system via WiFi- or 3G-networks. Incoming calls are shown in the display of the registered mobile telephones. The subscriber sends his CLI independently from what device he initiates the call. The profile of the registered terminals can be selected either manually by the user or automatically via the last used telephone from which a call was made.
VoIP-Networking of Multiple Systems
Up to 100 Opera-systems can be connected to one network with a homogeneous telephone numbering plan. A central switchboard can take on calls from every connected system.

Automatic Detection of IP-System Telephones
Programming for registering IP-system telephones is not necessary. These are simply connected via the company LAN and will each receive an extension number allocated by the system.

With the available system architecture of the Opera IP-platform and its networking capabilities, up to 100 systems, irrespective of their location, can be joined together into one network whilst an optimum supply of managed services is provided via a cloud-based Management Server.
